Class Length: 16 hours (2 days)

Prerequisites: 21+, NRA Basic Pistol Instructor Certification, current NRA Basic Instructor Training, NRA Basic CCW Course

The NRA CCW Instructor Course is for firearms instructors who want to teach Defensive Shooting Fundamentals. This class will focus on further developing the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for Instructor Candidates to teach carrying and using a concealed pistol ethically, responsibly, and with confidence. The NRA CCW Course is modular program that can easily be customized to meet the training requirements for each specific state, or broken into several shorter classes. The Instructor course provides training material for both the classroom and the range, including live-fire drills and shooting range instruction to safely and effectively teach defensive shooting skills.

Instructor Candidates must demonstrate organizational and teaching skills via participation in practical exercises during the course, pass a written instructor certification examination, and the CCW Instructor Level shooting qualification Course of Fire with a score of 90% or better.*

Required Equipment:

• Handgun (at least 9mm) and 300 rounds of Ammunition

• Quality Gun Belt & Hip Holster

• 3 Magazines & a Magazine Pouch

• Hearing & Eye Protection

• Concealment Garment

*Instructor Candidates are given two opportunities to successfully complete the Shooting Qualification standards, any addional attempts will need to be scheduled as an Individual Lesson at a later date. Range fees not included.
